Innovating more than ever before
8 June 2010
Even more visitors than last year ensured that they did not miss out on seeing the new products from Hexagon Metrology at CONTROL 2010.
Where quality comes together – this was the banner under which Hexagon Metrology appeared this year at CONTROL. Hexagon Metrology offers the widest range of metrology equipment on the market and was able to come up with a host of new products from all areas of metrology. Operating behind the scenes are development teams that work together on the international level. The success of the new developments was reflected at the trade fair in higher visitor numbers.
"We are delighted that this year even more visitors and potential customers than last year visited our stand at CONTROL," says Per Holmberg, President Hexagon Metrology Europe. "In 2010 we presented a complete series of new, pioneering products at CONTROL – in which portable as well as stationary machines were strongly represented. They were all without exception given a very positive reception by the visiting public. Interest was high. All in all I can only judge our show at this year's CONTROL to have been a great success."
Hexagon Metrology provided a highlight with the new Leica Absolute Tracker AT401 – the first battery-operated and IP54-certified Absolute Tracker. The ROMER product portfolio will concentrate in the future on the new ROMER Absolute Arm, which is available in seven sizes.
Hexagon Metrology is seeking to develop up-and-coming sectors such as medical technology and telecommunications with the new Optiv brand. Hexagon Metrology produces and markets vision and multisensor measuring machines under the Optiv label.
Industry professionals were also highly impressed by the first laser line scanner from Hexagon Metrology: The CMS106 sensor is compatible with various Hexagon Metrology coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and automatically adjusts its laser power.
The innovations from the world of stationary CMMs at CONTROL included the new Leitz Reference Xi/XT series. It offers the user an even larger choice of probe heads.
